What are ARTH logs?
Arth logs are the ideal improvement to traditional wooden logs used in cremation and funeral. Traditionally, funerals are carried out with the use of wood and certain amounts of cow dung and ghee are added to the pyre for their holistic importance. This process generates an immense amount of toxic gases and also consumes a huge amount of wood logs. Arth logs are primarily made from cow dung, thus preserving the sentiments of the ritual.
ARTH logs address the issue of waste management of cowdung, air pollution, and deforestation while simultaneously preserving the sanctity of the ritual.
ARTH has designed a drying system to speed up the manufacturing process of Arth logs and make it weather independent. The traditional process uses the sun's heat to dry cow-dung cakes. This process demands a clear sky and huge open land. Our drying system is a rack-based trolley system that ensures enough aeration. The system is set up in an insulated room with heating systems.
The outcome is a 75% reduction in the drying period, a 90% reduction in space required and a 50% reduction in labor efforts required. Moreover, the cost of setting up the machinery can be easily recovered by Gaushala in as few as 7 months of operation.
